Income Generating Programmes
To promote self employment opportunities for the rural poor by conducting training in tailoring and cutting, weaving, masala making, candle making,
  soap/detergent making, doll making, knitting etc.
To centrally arrange or otherwise loans on repayment basis for trainee/interested persons to setup small scale production units for
  augmenting/generating income of rural families.
To organize camps for creating awareness about income generating programmes and anti poverty campaign etc.
To train selective families in fish farming, dairy farms, bee keeping, poultry farming etc; help them to set these up by providing subsidy and arranging
  institutional funds/loans.
To promote cottage and small scale industries at village level with emphasis on the traditional skills of each area/region, and set up
  production/marketing centres in association with/with assistance from specialized agencies like KVIC etc.
To educate small and marginal farmers in modern agricultural methodologies for increasing output.
To improve the income level of rural artisans by training them in repair and maintenance of agricultural implements, cycles, two/four wheelers,
  mechanical and electrical equipments. Etc.
To rehabilitate disabled persons by helping them in securing suitable placements in industries, and through self employment.
Generally to promote, aid, guide, organize, plan, undertake, develop, maintain and co-ordinate projects/schemes aimed at all round development;
  creation of employment opportunities; promotion of self-reliance; generation of awareness; improvement in the quality of life of people in rural areas in general and of the economically weak and socially handicapped sections in particular.
